JOHN GOODISON

John Goodison studied Fine Art at Leeds University. Since then he has made faded collages, geometric sculptures, monochrome reliefs and colour field abstract paintings in which pigment is mixed with gesso. All of these have in common a sense of layering and a worn, abraded aesthetic.

He has exhibited at Paul Smith Interiors, Albemarle Street and the Hexagon Gallery, Hampstead, and has work at The Old Cinema, Chiswick and The Zilla Bell Gallery, Thirsk.

His works are commissioned widely by private clients and interior designers, including many paintings for the Chancery Rosewood, Grosvenor Square, London, formerly the American Embassy. He has written three novels: The Hand of Anna Linden, The Hope of Thomas Brewer and The Heart of Jutte Mumm - THE FRIESLAND TRILOGY.

John Goodison lives in Brighton, East Sussex with Anna Harvey, also an artist.
